Churches
It's really important that we are all involved in a local church, as the CU itself isn't a church! If you're not yet in a church we'd suggest going to a few that seem like churches you would want to get involved in, but make sure that you settle in a church quickly, and get involved in service and fellowship at your church. Check out the link to the right for a few tips on finding a church. This is also really helpful!
Once you are settled, you may want to find a mentor at your church. Go to the church mentors page for more information, and a list of contacts.
Southampton is blessed with many churches, and to present you with a list of 40+ churches would just be a bit mind blowing! To make it a bit easier for you we have set out the list of the churches which currently have the most student involvement*, and the other Southampton churches can be found on the Southampton Christian Network's website.

Kings Community Church
A very warm welcome awaits you at King’s Community Church, Southampton. We are a large family church on the edge of the city. A charismatic, evangelical church part of the Newfrontiers family of churches, we meet on a Sunday morning at 10am in our brand new auditorium which is very exciting. To help out with getting here we run a mini-bus from Glen Eyre and Wessex Lane Halls of Residence. We have great times of worship, powerful Bible preaching and an array of activities for all ages from the youngest children to the older members of society.
One of the things our Uni students have said they love over the years, is that they is that they are fully integrated into the family life of the church. We encourage our students to be as active in the life of the church as possible getting involved with any number of activities and groups we run from KCC. The student work specifically consists of Student Lunches through October to help get to know people within the church, and to find out a bit more about us, and also midweek “missional community”, based in the Highfield and Portswood areas. The missional community is a group of around 50 or so people who gather altogether every other week and in cell groups the other weeks to worship, learn from the Bible and fellowship with one another.
If you want a quiet life then KCC isn’t for you! We run a number of different works on Sundays and throughout the week, working with children and young people, Alpha, luncheon club for the elderly, Parent and Toddler groups, so there are plenty of areas to get your teeth stuck into. We also have a strong passion in working overseas, serving a number of churches across four continents.
