Churches
It's really important that we are all involved in a local church, as the CU itself isn't a church! If you're not yet in a church we'd suggest going to a few that seem like churches you would want to get involved in, but make sure that you settle in a church quickly, and get involved in service and fellowship at your church. Check out the link to the right for a few tips on finding a church. This is also really helpful!
Once you are settled, you may want to find a mentor at your church. Go to the church mentors page for more information, and a list of contacts.
Southampton is blessed with many churches, and to present you with a list of 40+ churches would just be a bit mind blowing! To make it a bit easier for you we have set out the list of the churches which currently have the most student involvement*, and the other Southampton churches can be found on the Southampton Christian Network's website.

New Community Church
New Community Church is a growing, enthusiastic, family friendly congregation with a desire to create a great place of belonging for people of every age and every background. We meet at Central Hall on Sunday mornings – for vibrant worship, biblical, practical teaching, and the chance to be together. Connect Groups (small groups) meet throughout the week in homes across the City.
We’re committed to encouraging one another to fall more in love with Jesus, aware of the transforming power of God’s presence, and the fact that as we love Jesus more so we are empowered to change the world around us. We love people, whoever they are, and our desire is to grow as a community who are known for the love that we have for Jesus, for one another and for the community of Southampton.
We recognise and value the exciting season of student life. We want to create environments where you can belong, grow in your faith and invite your friends.
We host a vibrant student calendar of events from the likes of Jesus Culture and Worship Central, to more intimate small groups and one on one discipleship mentoring (optional). Student lunches, free bacon drinks in our coffee shop and social trips are common throughout the year.
And the best news is, we’ll pick you up for free. On Sunday mornings our double decker bus calls in at several key locations. All you need to do is roll out of bed on time – we’ll do the rest.
Come and join us, come and be part of us…
