Church Directory

We think it is really important that you get involved in a local church.  All of these churches are worth trying.  We'd suggest going to to a few that seem like churches you would want to get involved in, but make sure that you settle in a church quickly, and get involved in service and fellowship at your church.

Once you are settled, you may want to find a mentor at your church.  Go to the mentoring page for more information, and a list of contacts.

Parish Communion: 11am, with a Family Service on the 2nd Sunday of the month.

Our parish is described as "middle of the road" with more leanings to the Catholic wing than the Evangelical. Teaching sermons based on the Bible are given weekly. We have a said Holy Communion each Sunday at 8 am using Rite B from ASB and on the first Sunday of the month we use the Prayer Book format. Our main service at both churches is a Parish Eucharist when we use Rite A from ASB. Evensong from the Prayer Book takes place most Sundays.

The Church of the Ascension has a ring of 8 bells and many students enjoy ringing with us. The contact for the bells is Matthew Thomson, tel. 023 8032 7416.
