Church Directory
We think it is really important that you get involved in a local church. All of these churches are worth trying. We'd suggest going to to a few that seem like churches you would want to get involved in, but make sure that you settle in a church quickly, and get involved in service and fellowship at your church.
Once you are settled, you may want to find a mentor at your church. Go to the mentoring page for more information, and a list of contacts.
Sunday@Swaythling
If you are a student in Southampton, then do come along and check us out.
At Sunday@Swaythling we want you to grow in your love for Jesus Christ. We believe the Good News of Jesus Christ is highly relevant to the student culture.
We are a group of Christians who are committed to historic Biblical Christianity and who worship God together. We seek to treat the Bible seriously as the yardstick for what Christians believe and how we live.
We want to point people to Jesus for the forgiveness of their sins and as Lord of their lives.
Our weekly worship service is held at Swaythling Primary School Mayfield Road (just 3 minutes walk from University main campus)at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday, and is followed by a light lunch.
We are a friendly church with an age range from babies to 83 years of age and on any one Sunday we have up to 10 nationalities represented.
StudentPlus is a group for students plus others in their twenties and thirties. We meet on Sunday evenings at 6.30 p.m. for a shared meal, followed by Bible study and discussion. This is an opportunity to explore and understand the Christian faith regardless of your background. You do not need to be a Christian to attend. We meet in a home on Burgess Road, close to the junction with Glen Eyre Road.
