If you're looking to slip into the untroubled anonymity of a large church which is really happening, where everything is done for your and your Christian life is just fun, fun, fun, - don't come to Swaythling Baptist Church

We are a small church, and that's a blessing. At Swaything Baptist Church we don't have a student track, or endless organisations especially for students. Here you'll be treated the same as any other member of the congregation. It's easy to pop along to church once a week on a Sunday, or to attend student specials. But it is a much greater challenge to really get involved in a church and become part of it. This means joining in all of the church's activities and becoming part of the Lord's work in the local community, not just a student visitor.

We can use students in our local ministry, in the junior church, in the worship group, and in everything else that we do. Sounds like hard work? Of course it is, but who told you that being a Christian was going to be easy? Wherever you are, God had a purpose for you, but if you don't get involved, you can't fulfil it.

Don't be a campus clinger, or just a CU member, venture out into the real world and join a real church.

Swaythling Baptist Church is on Fleming Road, off Swaythling High Street Road (opposite McDonald's). We have a service every Sunday at 10.30 am
