Church Directory

We think it is really important that you get involved in a local church.  All of these churches are worth trying.  We'd suggest going to to a few that seem like churches you would want to get involved in, but make sure that you settle in a church quickly, and get involved in service and fellowship at your church.

Once you are settled, you may want to find a mentor at your church.  Go to the mentoring page for more information, and a list of contacts.

At chaplaincy we have 2.5 chaplains at the moment. We have a lively and mixed community, and you can pop in any time for a cup of tea and there's usually some thing going on during term time.

Wednesdays we have a Service at 1pm, usually led by Simon (or the free church chaplain). It is a fresh expression of church and an opportunity to worship God on campus in the middle of your week.

Weekly Events:

Tuesday: 6pm Afro-Caribbean Christian Fellowship ; 8pm Catherine Cruz leads a group (often bible study)

Wednesday: 1pm Service; 7pm SCM

Thursday: 12:30noon Cake day

Sunday: 6:30pm Mass

The Chaplains are Simon Stevens (C of E), Catherine Cruz (Roman

Catholic) and Tom Tarling (Chaplaincy Assistant), and we should get a new "Free Church" chaplain some when this year (the previous one left this summer).
